Based on
2 Corinthians 5:11-21

Reacquaint yourselves to 2 Corinthians 5:11-21, where God has called you, every Christian, to be an ambassador for God. Do you even know what is an ambassador? How he or she performs his or her tasks? Some of you do not.

Some of you understand your responsibility to Christ, so you work hard to persuade others regarding who he is and the gift he brings. And Christ knows the sincerity of your hearts (v11). But some of you, your only goal is having a spectacular ministry rather than acting in the role which you were called – ambassadors for the kingdom. So I ask again, what is an ambassador? What is his or her role? Let me provide an explanation so there is no longer confusion on this matter. An ambassador is an accredited diplomat sent by a country (kingdom) as its official representation to a foreign country (earth or the world); a promoter of special activity as it is assigned by Christ. A diplomat is a person who can deal with people in a sensitive and effective way.

Therefore, I command thee who claim to the title as my ambassador, to stop slaughtering with your words and lack of sincere hearts. Stop evaluating people from your human point of view (v16). For I am a Spirit, mighty in power, and I operate in Spirit and truth.

Gather yourself and reconcile yourself to the love you had at first and draw people to me based on my loving kindness (Jeremiah 31:3). For your task as my ambassador is to draw people to me through love and mercy. For I have already blotted out the sins of the people (v19). Therefore, I am making my appeal to the unrighteous through you for them to “Come back to God” (v20). So you, you so called ambassadors of Christ, stop calling unclean what I have made clean through my offering to God. Instead, make the unrighteous right with God, not through your human eyes or emotions, but through Christ (v21).
